MANAGEMENT TEAM

 

 

Ann R. Strauss - President / Chief Executive Officer - Ann is a Founder of the company.  Previous to serving as President she was the Secretary-Treasurer.  Ann is a retired Registered Nurse with extensive management experience.

 

Richard J. Strauss, Sr. (Rich) Sr. Vice President - Rich is a Founder of the company and served as President / CEO from 1990 – 2006.  He is a graduate of The Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades,  maintains a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, and has attended Hale, Waterous, Godiva and Darley pump schools.  In addition, Rich has been a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years.

 

Richard J. Strauss, Jr. (Rick) Vice President / Chief Operating Officer - Rick is the Vice President / Chief Operating Officer.  He is a volunteer firefighter, maintains a Class B Commercial Drivers License, and has attended Hale, Waterous, and Godive pump schools.  Additionally, Rick has MIG and TIG welding training and is a certified Emergency Vehicle Technician.  Rick currently serves as a member of the Rosenbauer Dealer Council.

 

Mary S. Pardee - Secretary / Treasurer - Mary attended the McQueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing and has been a registered nurse for 11 years.  She serves as our administrator and safety officer and is actively pursuing her accounting degree. 

 


 

SALES TEAM

 

Craig Crawmer - Sales Consultant (Fire/EMS) - Western Shore Maryland.  Craig is a retired Paramedic from the Baltimore City Fire Department with 27 years of service.  He remains active in the department as a member of the CISM Team.  In addition, Craig is a member of the Fire Brigade Pipes and Drums of Greater Baltimore (www.thefirebrigade.org).  Aside from the fire service, Craig is heavily involved with Project Liberty Ship, an organization dedicated to the preservation of the S.S. John W. Brown which is based in Baltimore.  Craig has been active with Project Liberty Ship for 12 years and serves on the Board of Directors in addition to being the ship's Medical Officer.  He and his wife reside in the Fulton, MD area. 

 

Paul Hagemann - Sales Consultant (EMS) - Eastern Shore Maryland/Delaware.  A veteran of the emergency vehicle industry, Paul brings over 30 years of ambulance sales experience to DPC.  In addition, he also has served as an NREMT for 25 years.

 

Todd Hannah - Sales Consultant (EMS) - Eastern Shore Maryland/Delaware.  Todd has been involved in the Delaware Fire and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) for more than 15 years, eight of which have been as an ambulance officer and ten as a Paramedic for Kent County, DE.  He has attended Hale Pump School and is a current NREMT-B, volunteer firefighter and an EMS instructor. He has a CDL-B Drivers license.  Todd also is a graduate from Delaware Technical and Community College with AAS in Business Marketing and Management.

 

Jeff Hawkins - Sales & Marketing Coordinator.  Jeff has over 7 years of experience in emergency vehicle sales and has served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT.  He maintains a Class B CDL with multiple endorsements and is a Certified Internet Webmaster.  Jeff coordinates our sales and marketing efforts which includes tracking leads, creating bids and proposals, maintaining the DPC website, and designing our print advertisements.  Jeff is a long-time apparatus buff and photographer with his work appearing in many publications and on dozens of industry and fire department websites.  On a part-time basis he also photographs weddings, portraits, seniors, and other events.  He has authored numerous magazine features on the subject of railroads and is currently writing a book entitled Richmond Railroads that will be released in late 2009.  You can visit his websites at www.railfirephotography.com and www.railsinvirginia.com

 

Adam Jarrell - Sales Consultant (Fire Apparatus) - Eastern Shore Maryland/Delaware.  Adam has been a part of the DPC team since April 2007 and has over 15 years of service in Fire/EMS.  Currently he serves as the Chief Engineer and Ambulance Captain for the Felton Community Fire Company.  In his spare time Adam is a driver in the East Coast Dirt Modified racing circuit.  Adam resides in the Felton area with his wife and two sons. 

 

Sean Kerrigan - Sales Consultant (Fire/EMS) - Southern Maryland.  Sean serves as the Deputy Chief of the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department (MD) and is a Captain with the Fort AP Hill Fire Department (VA).  In addition to selling apparatus, Sean also handles AMKUS rescue tools. 

 

Greg Price - Sales Consultant (Fire/EMS) - Western Maryland.  Currently Greg serves as the President of West Potomac Fire Equipment and has over 25 years of sales experience in the emergency vehicle industry.  He is an active member of the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Company which he joined in 1973 and has served in a variety of positions including that of Fire Chief which he held for 6 years.  Greg resides in Williamsport, MD with his wife of over 30 years and has two sons, Bo and Bucky.

 

Keith Twilley - Sales Consultant (Fire Apparatus) - Eastern Shore Maryland.

 

Ryan Whittington - Sales Consultant (Loose Equipment) - Eastern Shore Maryland/Delaware

 

Ron Willett - Sales Consultant (Fire Apparatus) - Western Shore/Southern Maryland.  With deep roots in the fire service, Ron brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the DPC sales team.  His volunteer service began in 1968 with the Bryans Road Volunteer Fire Department (MD) where he continues to serve as an active member some 40 years later.  Ron serves on the Board of Directors and has held many positions over the years including Fire Chief and President.  Since 1986, Ron has been a career firefighter with the Fort Myer Fire and Emergency Services (VA) and now holds the rank of Assistant Fire Chief.  Ron has worked in fire apparatus sales for 30 years, including 18 years with E-One.  Outside of volunteering and work, Ron enjoys fishing and boating.  He and his wife of 20 years, Lynda, reside in White Plains, MD. 

 

 

 


 

SERVICE / PARTS / WARRANTY

Jeff Grove - Service Manager.  Jeff comes to us with 20 years of experience in the automotive and truck service business. He has extensive training and certifications in customer service and shop management.

Bob Lewis - Assistant Service Manager.  Bob comes to us with over 30 years of diesel experience from the marine industry. Bob has extensive training and certification in Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Volvo and other engine manufacturers. He has ASE Certification for Diesel Engines.

Michael J. Richard (Mike) - Shop Supervisor.  He is an ASE / EVT certified Master Heavy Truck Technician with 15+ years experience in heavy truck service and repair. He has attended Hale and Waterous Pump Schools, American LaFrance, Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Cummins and Allison training. He also maintains a Class B Commercial Drivers License.

Norman Husfelt - Parts Manager.  He has been a volunteer firefighter for 22 years and has over 20 years of experience in parts management.

Tami Leager - Warranty Administrator.

John Fisher - Mobile Service Technician.  John is a retired Battalion Chief from the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue where he served for 32 years.  He has been working on emergency vehicles since 1989 and is EVT certified.

NFPA recommends that technicians have training specific to fire apparatus and be certified by the Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission (EVT Certified).
