2008 Brings Changes to DPC

January 29, 2008 (Marydel, DE) - We are pleased to announce that effective January 19, 2008, DPC Emergency Equipment is the authorized sales and service agent for Rosenbauer America in both Maryland and Delaware.  Our new affiliation with Rosenbauer in turn also allows DPC to be an authorized warranty center for Spartan Motors.

In addition to Rosenbauer, we will continue to represent Lifeline Emergency Vehicles throughout Maryland.

In early January the decision was made by the management at DPC Emergency Equipment to discontinue representation of American LaFrance emergency vehicles.  While we will no longer be promoting the sales of American LaFrance products, it is important to note that DPC will remain a service and parts dealer for American LaFrance, along with Freightliner.

The existing service agreement with ALF and Freightliner, along with our new venture with Rosenbauer and Spartan Motors will further enhance DPC's ability to be a Sole Responsibility Service Center.  What does this mean for you?  It allows DPC to service not only the truck chassis and body components, but also the transmission and engine as well.

Most, if not all of you have probably heard by now that on Monday, January 28, American LaFrance, LLC filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court.  As a result of this, American LaFrance has released a 4-page "question and answer", or "FAQ" document to address the many questions being raised by not only previous and existing customers, but the fire service industry as a whole.  Click here to read the document.

We are also pleased to share with you that AMKUS Rescue Systems has appointed DPC Emergency Equipment as their Authorized Distributor in Delaware and Eastern Maryland  for the sales and service of AMKUS rescue products.  Click here to read the press release issued by AMKUS.

As you can see, there are many exciting changes taking place.  We look forward to serving you in the future and thank you for your patience and understanding during this transitional period.
